Would you benefit from a low stimulus visit to the museum? Here you’ll find information to help you properly prepare for your visit.
Tickets
If you are planning a visit to the museum, please book your ticket(s) online. Our tickets have start times. The earlier and later start times are usually the quietest, although this is no guarantee that the museum will not be crowded.
Admission for companions
Visitors who are unable to make their way through the museum independently are welcome to bring a companion with them, for free. The free companion tickets are also available online.
Before your visit
This document, with images, will help you prepare for your visit.
Low stimulus opening
If you or someone you care for is unable to visit the museum during regular opening hours because of a disability or condition , visit us during one of our special low stimulus openings.
Getting to us
There are good public transport links to The Mesdag Collection. Read more about how to get to the museum.
Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs such as hearing dogs are welcome in the museum, so long as they are wearing a vest. There is no need to register assistance dogs in advance of your visit.
Sunflower lanyard for recognition
Not all disabilities are visible. Be visible when you choose to be. The Mesdag Collection recognises and acknowledges people wearing a Sunflower lanyard. This is a lanyard for people with non-visible disabilities or conditions, such as autism, Alzheimer’s, dementia or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The lanyards and cards are available via the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower website.
